Added in handwriting is the number of this score: 6767.

Includes: (1) Title sheet 'Variations I for David Tudor, on his birthday (tardily) January 1958', 28 x 21.5 cm. Contains facsimile handwritten score text, signed by Cage (in print), copyright Henmar Press NY 1960. (2) Six score cards, 21.5 x 21.5 cm, printed black on transparent mylar sheets. The transparencies contain randomly arranged sets of 5 lines. One or more of these transparencies is to be superimposed on the points from the notation to create a program for performance. Added are craftily made white paper folders and sheets to protect the documents. Light wrinkling to title sheet, portfolio cover shows moderate edge wear. Transparencies in very good condition, with two sheets leaving an imprint on the folder. Rare delightful item.
