Bookmarks, collection of 200

Ca. 1900-70. A very fine collection, including nice series, fine art deco/ art nouveau designs, a few cloth or plastic (and 1 metal) specimens. Comprises a.o. advertorial bookmarks for Van Houten's Cacao, Delftsche Slaolie, Van Nelle, A.N.W.B. Wegenwacht, a number of bookmarks in the shape of toothpaste tubes, bottles, hands, fish, lamps, movable caricatures of people, bookmarks depicting ships and trains, etc. Designs by a.o. C.A. Lion Cachet (for Stoomvaart Maatschappij Nederland), P. van Praag, J. Coster, D.A.H. Hofman, A. Vlaanderen, D. Elffers, F. van Noorden, D.J. Muller, L. Gestel, R. Vincent, Sepo, Fabriano, Girard and T. Simatoepang (Taroetoeng, for the exhibition "Hoe tekent het kind in Indië"). Also incl. loosely inserted periodical 'Uitgelezen Boeken', year 1, no. 3, mai 1982, a special on bookmarks.
