Joel Fisher, Eye of the Dealer, two card sets, 1976-1977

(1) Joel Fisher by Salvatore Ala and Salvatore Ala by Joel Fisher. Two postcards, offset printed b/w, 10 x 14.8 cm. Published in conjunction with Fisher's exhibition at Salvatore Ala, Milan, 1976. One card features a photographic image of Fisher's eye (shot by Ala), the other shows an image of gallerist Salvatore Ala's eye (shot by the artist).

(2) Joel Fisher photo von Kiki Maier-Hahn and Kiki Maier-Hahn photo von Joel Fischer. Two postcards, offset printed b/w, 10 x 14.8 cm. Made in conjunction with Fisher's exhibition at Galerie Maier-Hahn, Dusseldorf, 1977. One card with image of Fisher's eye (shot by the gallerist), the other with an image of Maier-Hahn's eye (shot by the artist). Both cards have a tiny pinhole at the mid top margin. The 'Eye of the Dealer' series always came in sets of two, mostly in postcard format. They were sent in envelopes with printed exhibition information, separating the content from information. Striking conceptual art pieces, rare double set. (total 4)
