8vo., vellum, spine with title in hw. pasted on paper, blindtooled sides, ex-libris N. Bacon, title with vignette, first edition, (6),XV,495 pp., countless in-text illustrations, 2 folding copper engr. of the moon by M. Burg. Waterstained in back, paper somewhat foxed in places, vellum with signs of use, good copy. John Keill was a mathematician and professor of astronomy in Oxford. The English translation of this work appeared in 1721, the year John Keill died. Rare first edition.
