Some minimal defects in the margins. One print hidden underneath another in one frame. Beautiful series iconic illustrations, published only two years after the famous adventure of Willem Barentsz in 1596. The prints show the fight against polar bears, the building of the Behouden Huys, sloop expeditions and a map of the north coast of "Lappia". The book by Gerrit de Veer is very rare.
