[Extremely rare reprint] Renversement de la morale chrétienne

par les desordres du monachisme. Enrichie de 50 figures. On les vend en Hollande, chez les Marchands Libraires et Imagers. Avec privilege d'Innocent XI. N.pl., n.d. (ca. 1850), 15 text pages, folding engraved frontispiece after Romeyn de Hooghe, 50 engraved plates after Jacob Gole and Cornelis Dusart, contemporary half morocco with gilt lettered spine and gilt top edge, 4to (excellent copy with unidentified heraldic ex libris on inside front cover).

A near-untraceable reprint - almost a sort of early facsimile edition - of the original edition published ca. 1690 in Amsterdam. That edition included the frontispiece by Romeyn de Hooghe and 50 mezzotint plates by Jacob Gole after Cornelis Dusart. Only one copy of our edition appears to be in KVK (University of Amsterdam, dated ca. 1800) and we could not find any other copies with the exact same title and composition. That makes this particular edition much rarer than the original edition.
