Hamburg, Perthes & Besser, 1822, (4) letterpress p. comprising title and descriptions of "Platte 52" to "Platte 68", followed by 17 plates numbered LII-LXVIII w. examples numbered 363-447, the final 4 plates large folding, contemp. clothbacked limp boards w. mor. letterpiece "Stickmuster für 1822" on front cover, orig. light brown wrappers w. lithogr. front wrapper ("Hamb. Steindruck") but engr. back wrapper bound along, oblong folio.
Fold. plates w. sm. tears near spine; old owner's entry in corner of the letterpress title. Covers sl. rubbed. Fine copy. Cf. Kat. d. Ornamentstichslg. Berlin 1544. A complete collection of finely printed examples of "Fanchon-Tuch", "Vorärmel", "Morgenmütze", "Kinderkragen", "Knabenmütze" etc. The front wrapper is a rather early example of lithography.
