On the fascist poet, writer, journalist and publisher George Kettmann Jr., see: http://www.nederlandsepoezie.org/dichters/k/kettmann.html and also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Kettmann (both sites with photo of Kettmann sitting at this typewriter). Kettmann had been a member of the N.S.B. already since 1932, chief editor of Volk en Vaderland and from 1932 to 1945 owner and director of the most well-known National-Socialist publisher in the Netherlands, De Amsterdamsche Keurkamer. Kettmann thought the N.S.B. not radical enough and was removed from the party, after which he increased the fight against Mussert. After the war, he managed to stay out of the hands of the Justice department for several years, but was eventually arrested in 1948 and in March 1951 sentenced to 10 years in prison. He also received a 10-year publication ban and exclusion from the press for 18 years. In 1955, Kettmann came out on an early release. This set of 5 typoscripts in this lot was produced during his imprisonment. With: George Kettmann Jr. Literator en fascist. Kandidaatsskriptie Nico 't Hooft. Instituut voor Neerlandistiek. Xeroxed typescript, Amsterdam, 1978, 87p., loose leaves (very rare text).
