Bloemfontein, Van Iddekinge & Comp., 1868, (2),108 p., contemporary half cloth with manuscript paper spine shield, large 8vo.

Small label on inside front board, boards else slightly creased and stained. Contains, except for a few letters, correspondence between Philip Edmund Wodehouse (1811-1887), governor of the Cape Colony, and Johannes Henricus Brand (1823-1888), the fourth state president of the Orange Free State. From page 85, six annexes are included, among which the peace treaty between the Orange Free State and Basuto leader Moshesh, 15 October 1858.
