De Meyer p. 241 ff, and Noman cat. 43; on the subject, see De Meyer p. 371 ff. Equestrian portrait of Prince William V (1748-1806), probably cut by J. Plugger (1795-1871), who worked for Noman from about 1815 onwards. The Noman firm was founded in Zaltbommel in 1806. De Meyer lists the print as a Noman original on p. 387, but also as being bought by Noman's son circa 1830 from the stock of J. Hendriksen in Rotterdam (p. 243, note). The stock of Hendriksen does not include such a print.
