Small folio, 2 volumes, uniformly bound, title in red and black, emblematic frontispiece by J. Mulder; dedication with engraving of the Amsterdam city hall and coat of arms, 683-1388,(16),178,(9) pp., boards blindstamped, ex-library, spines heavily damaged, inside good. Julius Pollux (2nd century AD), was an orator from Naukratis. The work presents information on various subjects such as religion, law, ethics, war, sciences, trade, anatomy, ships, children's games, dentistry etc. (total 2).
