Four titles in two volumes, incl. three forged (?) Leiden printings

(1-3) Bookblock with 3 titles by J. Donkans, no binding, all with address Leiden, Dirk Haak, 1742 [sic] and all with engraved frontispiece and title vignette: (1) Veeneryk en Veeman. Twistende, wie voor de schoonste te houden zy, eene bruine, of eene blonde. Herderskout door J.D. 35 p.;

(2) Raad aan Amaril Zich in het huuwelijk willende begeven door J.D. 29 p.; (3) De ongestaadigheyd der menschen. Hekeldicht. 21 p. Waterstained, particularly the first title. Actually three editions from 1713, but in matching letterpress adapted to the year 1742, with the "13" first superficially scratched. Still recognisable as a forgery, so one can only guess at the motives for the person postdating the works; (4) De waanwysheid in den professorale-kap en in den schoolvos naar het leven verbeeld (...). The Hague, J. de Cros, 1740, (16),128 p., title printed in black and red, modern wrapper, small 8vo (total 4 in 2 volumes).
