[Chapbooks] Two editions: (1) Een Schoone en Wonderlyke Historie van Valentyn en Oursson,

De twee Edele vroome ridders, Zoonen van den Mogenden Keyzer van Grieken en Neven van den Edelen Koning Pepyn, toen ter tijd Koning van Vrankryk. Uyt het Frans in 't Nederduyts overgezet: Van nieus overzien en verbeterd met eenige schoone Figuuren. Amsterdam, S. and W. Koene, 1804, 120 p., with title woodcut and 23 (repeated) woodcut illustrations (e.g. of book burning), later wrapper, 4to.

Title pasted on reinforcement leaf, second and final leaf with reinforced outer margin (minimal loss to text); browned and stained. Still an acceptable copy for this type of book, with ownership strip "Dr. Jan Te Winkel" on the endpaper; (2) Een Schoone en Wonderlyke Historie van Valentyn en Oursson (...). Exactly the same title as the former, Amsterdam, N. Koene, 1818, 117,(3) p., with title woodcut and 23 woodcut illustrations, cordbound without wrapper, 4to (trifle browned, corners turned yet a very good copy). The two editions have woodcuts in the same places, but differ partly in which woodcut is included where. The woodcut with two ships (in both editions on p. 57) is in the 1818 edition a mirrored copy.
