Here and there waterstained (e.g. volume 1 p. 297-298, thus slightly damaging 1 illustration), here and there slightly foxed or browned. Very finely bound set of this extensive standard work on the Dutch revolt against Spain. The first two volumes contain the history of the revolt up to the death of William of Orange. The next two volumes continue the history up to the surprise at Breda in 1590. In 1630 the 5th volume was complete and in 1634 the sixth and final volume which ends with the Battle of Nieuwpoort. Of great historical importance due to the many documents printed by Bor in-extenso.
