With HANDWRITTEN DEDICATION by the editor of this edition, Arnout Hellemans Hooft (1630-1680) (son of P.C. Hooft) on the half title: "Aan zijnen heer en neef Jacob de Graef, Commissaris der stadt Amsterdam, zendt dit boek, tot teyken van vriendtschap, sijn gts. Onderdaenste, verplichste neef, Arnout H. Hooft". And with 19th-century pasted note: "Present Exemplaar, welke weinig voorkomen. Men zie daar omtrent de Navorscher." With uniformly bound: (2) P.C. Hoofts Nederlandsche Historien, seedert de ooverdracht der heerschappye van kaizar Kaarel den Vyfden op Kooning Philips zynen zoon, tot de doodt des Prinsen van Oranje. met het Vervolgh tot het einde der Landvooghdye des Graaven van Leicester.
