Small folio, leather across wooden boards, these entirely blindstamped; central panel with small medallion heads and floral designs, signed S.T., surrounded by portraits of King David et al., also with signature, border embroidery with floral and typographical designs, metal clamps and locks with leather hinge intact. Title on spine in gilt stamping pasted on piece of new leather.

Endpapers, title page with annotations, name and signature in ms. and stamp, (23),720,(23) pp., numerous large and small capitals in woodcut, light (water) stains at the beginning. Various ann. in the text. Printed by Johannes Soterus (see final leaf). Signature S.T. stands for Simon Thumm (see Haebler). Third printing of one of the most important works of Lindanus, Bishop of Roermond and one of the few defenders of the Catholic faith in our lands. Binding with light wear, else lovely copy.
