Small 4to (18 x 12 cm.), black leather, boards with embroidery and centered blind stamp, endpapers, (56),416 ff (=832 pp.). Illustrated with ca. 200 full-page woodcuts, tailpieces and capitals in lovely sharp prints by Christoffel Van Sichem, partly after his own design and partly after artists such as Lucas van Leyden and Albrecht Dürer. Binding with minor imperfections, clamps present (lacking the accompanying locks), endpaper with seal in red wax (family coat of arms), autograph on sign. B2, various pp. with minor repairs, hole in paper at ff. 412-16. Incomplete yet nevertheless interesting copy thanks to the many prints by Van Sichem.
