Very good, unnumbered and untrimmed copy, with dedication in red pen on the title page: "Ter herinnering aan Carel Otto's verblijf nov. 1934 - juli 1936", according to annotation in pencil, this dedication was written by the editor. Also with ex libris of J.M. Th. Cohen Tervaert on free endpaper and bookshop label of B.M. Robert & Co. at the end; (2) Java. Beelden van volksleven en bedryf geteekend en toegelicht door Emilie van Kerckhoff. Amsterdam, Scheltema & Holkema, (1912), IV,111 p., with 48 coloured plates (incl. the title), copy from the deluxe edition printed on laid paper and bound in full gilt vellum, top edge gilt, oblong 4to (very good, untrimmed copy, trifle foxed).
