Volume 1 partly with water stain in top margin, all volumes trifle foxed; a good set with some traces of use/ light wear, and with handwritten ex libris of A. Terral on free endpaper of volume 1. Contains fine maps of the route of the travelling party at sea (from England around the Cape of Good Hope, through the Malay Archipelago to northeastern China, while also calling at Rio de Janeiro) and of the travels within China.
