[Football] Archive Jan Willem Pots (1911-?)

Pots was a football player and coach in Groningen. This archive contains e.g. various letters from the K.N.V.B. and Velocitas, where a disagreement had led to the dismissal of Pots and several others. Subsequent correspondence shows that Pots, who also had the ambition to become 'football leader' and was later invited to play for the Bondselftal, had not given up. Due to administrative errors, the K.N.V.B. did not recognise the dismissal, after which Pots transferred to the football club G.V.A.V. Also several documents incl. an invitation for the Bondselftal Boeljon, on 8 May 1937 at the Cambuurstadion against West Ham United. Also various personal documents incl. a cartoon 'Wimpie in actie. Benjamin van het Eerste', footballer trading cards, a certificate Groninger Voetbal Vereeniging GRC 1936/37, programme book GRC Feestavond 1938, Huishoudelijk reglement GRC and a 'Kampioen Foto van VVK 1 1933/1934'.
