Ed van der Elsken (1925-1990)

Set of 5 photos of Jet Sluyters, two of which with her boyfriend Niels Hamel, as a model for a possible role in the film Sil de Strandjutter, c. 1955. All on reverse with stamp van der Elsken. 11.5 x 16.5 cm.

Sluyters was approached by friend van der Elsken for a possible rol in the feature film Sil de Strandjutter. The idea for the film spent years gathering dust and was finally finished in the shape of a mini series in 1976 starring Monique van der Ven. Photos - probably uniques - still in fairly good condition, with the odd crease or fingerprint.
