[Flanders and Brabant.

(Amsterdam, S.J. Baalde, 1753), with address of J. de Lat in Deventer and J. Keizer in Almelo engraved in all maps, complete set with the engraved general map and 37 partial maps (numbered Fol 2-38 as Fol. 1 would have depicted only the blank North Sea), all in fine, old handcolouring and with leaf size of ± 25 x 36 cm, captions in French, loose-leafed in later portfolio with ties, 26 x 18 cm.

Beautiful and very rare complete set of maps, loose-leafed as issued (has never been bound). Possibly a loose-leafed edition by De Lat & Keizer issued before or simultaneously with the book edition with letterpress title page in French and Dutch by Baalde. Last map frayed, the map of Maastricht and surroundings with tear, all maps with middle fold. PiCarta lists 3 copies with erroneous dating 1703 (the publisher was active from 1753). Connected, the maps would form a splendid, large wall map of ± 120 x 185 cm. Maps 2-20, with a size of ± 22 x 25 cm., cover Zeeland, Flanders, Artois and Hainaut. The remaining maps are as tall but significantly wider (especially the most right maps), these cover Brabant, the Diocese of Liège, Limburg and parts of the surrounding areas (complete set of 38 maps). Added a non-matching distance chart.
