[Pamphlets 17th century] 14 items: (1) Nader tractaet van vrede ende vrundtschap.

Besloten den 22 Martii 1657. tusschen de Hoogh Mogende Heeren Staten Generael der Vereenighde Nederlanden, ter eenre; ende den Prince ende Heere van de Steden ende landen van Salé [Morocco], ter andere zijde. Met de elucidatie ende ampliatie van dien, in Den Hage gemaeckt ende geslooten den twee en twintighsten october 1659. The Hague, weduwe en erfgenamen H. Jacobsz van Wouw, 1659, (16) p., with woodcut title vignette, modern cardboard (water stain to bottom corner).

Ex collection Boudewijn Büch, sold in the auction of his library at Bubb Kuyper, lot 3438. Knuttel 8180. Pamphlet to prevent the future arisal of misunderstandings between the Netherlands and Sid Abdala Ben Sid Mohamed Bembucar, lord of Salé in Morocco, as has occurred since the similar treaty of 9 February 1651. The agreements in the piece concern "alle schepen ten oorloghe op vrybuyt, ofte ter koopvaardye uyt Salé varende". The ships will need to be able to present papers "om daer door gedistingueert te worden van andere [!] Barbarische roovers (...)." And with another 13 pamphlets, incl. Knuttel 3933 (1629, court ruling on punishments (banishment) for five captured criminals) and 5733 (1648, Peace of Munster), mostly 1607-1608, on the run-up to the Twelve Years' Truce with Spain.
