Interesting archive, partly about the origins of the enormous Observatorium (Ø 90 metres, completed in 1977) in the Flevopolder, by the land art- and minimal art-artist Robert Morris (1931-2018). With an original, signed letter and a signed postcard from Robert Morris to Wim [Beeren] and Doreen [Mignot], a blueprint of the design of the Observatorium, a file with label "Robert Morris Velsen Santpoort" (with 2 telegrams by Morris), correspondence of the Stichting Sonsbeek Onbeperkt (c. 1971-1977), a copy of the charter of foundation, meeting reports, photos, material on the exhibition devoted to the Observatorium at the Stedelijk Museum (22 April - 30 May 1977), newspaper articles, drawings, concepts etc. The archive also contains other pieces related to Sonsbeek, such as a file with "Correspondentie UIT" and a file with "Correspondentie IN", a file "Algemeen", a file "Tijdschema's, afspraken", several publications by the Boekmanstichting, a file with invoices, material of the Stichting Sonsbeek '70 and documentation related to Robert Smithson.
