Ken Friedman

Extensive lot of documentation from and about Ken Friedman (1949-). Friedman was an active intermedia artist and promotor of Fluxus. He set up an information network and organized various events around the world in the 60s and 70s as director of Fluxus West. He was instrumental in supporting Tjeerd Deelstra's plans to set up a Fluxus archive and named him director of Fluxus West Europe.

Included in this lot is an impressive collection of flyers and texts regarding Fluxus events curated by Friedman in the 60s and 70s, sent in large quantity to Deelstra. Also included is a section specifically about Friedman's work, with exhibition announcements, press clippings and some original works on paper. Added are letters from Friedman to Deelstra from 1974-1975 illustrating the personal and working relationship of the Fluxfriends.
