[Portraits] Collection of ca. 40 miscellaneous 16th-19th cent. portraits
Including: 1) Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn (1606-1669) (after). "Copenol, No. 262 du catalogue". Etched portrait by Pierre-François Basan (1723-1797), 24.5 x 18 cm, titled and monogrammed in the plate below the image, mounted at left margin under passepartout.
2) "Anag. de l'auth. Par la priiere dieu m'ayde". Oval woodcut portrait of Pierre de la Primaudaye, seigneur de la Barrée (1546-1619), 10 x 7.5 cm, dated 1578. Folds; scribbling in pen on verso, visible on recto; 3) "Mr. J. ter Pelkwijk." Etched portrait on chine-collé by Dirk Jurriaan Sluyter (1811-1886), sheet size 54 x 38 cm. Fully mounted (marginal tears). Stamped below the image are the names G. Luttenberg and D. van Schreven. Muller 4136a; 4) Paul Berthon (1872-1909). "Koningin Wilhelmina". Colour lithograph on stiff paper, sheet size 30 x 26 cm, published by J.F. van de Ven in Baarn, ca. 1900. Fine art-nouveau portrait depicting the queen in traditional Dutch dress (total ca. 40).
