A very interesting collection of rare original designs, giving a nice insight in the way interior decorators and contracting companies prepared themselves for the architectural work. The monogrammed design for Koelewijn & Van den Ent is titled "Plan verbouwing perceel Heerengracht 544". The contracting company Staal en Haalmeyer was jointly owned by the father of Jan Frederik Staal (1879-1940), who later became a leading exponent of the movement the Amsterdamse School. He was also an editor of Wendingen magazine from 1920 to 1931.
