Bookblock broken and loose; text sl. foxed throughout. Spine strengthened w. cloth strip. Copy with stamp (on title-p.) and ticket (on inside frontcover) of the Ontleedkundig Laboratorium in Amsterdam (Mauritskade). Also with bookplate of Prof. Bolk on inside frontcover. Louis Bolk (1866-1930), famous Dutch anatomist and embryologist. He was responsible for the creation of the Ontleedkundig Laboratorium at the Mauritskade in Amsterdam, that opened in 1909. Scarce first edition of this important work of the German anatomist and embryologist Emil Huschke (1797-1858), at the time providing new insights in human brain convolutions; (2) A. Ecker.
