Krijn Giezen

Two rare publications by Giezen (1939-2011) who was a pioneer of land art, ecological and conceptual art in The Netherlands. Comprises: (1) Calendar for the year 1978 titled 'Platte Knoop, Oud Wijf'. 14 sheets printed both sides, 31 x 20 cm, with perforated holes, held together by baler twine rope.

Produced by the artist for the shipping and herring trade company Parlevliet in Katwijk aan Zee. Features b/w images related to the fishing village and drawings made in collaboration with a local fisherman. (2) Midden Delfland, 1984. Signed and dedicated to Mabel, 1985. 21 x 29.5 cm, 90 pp. Proposal for a public art project for the redevelopment of Midden Delfland. The endpaper suggests the proposal (natural fishing and picknick spots) was deemed not feasible. Includes great b/w pictures. (total 2)
