Ed Ruscha re-appropriations

A humourous series of recent ‘remakes’ of Ruscha’s famous artists’ books. The set contains 20 copies by ca. 10 different authors, mostly self-published in small editions between 2008-2021.

Titles include: Various Small Dicks (Hubert Kretschmer), 25 Filthy automobiles (David Kregenow), Twenty Three Bankers (Jochen Manz), Trente-trois Pichets Pastis (Rui Camilo), Twenty Six Blank Rocks, Some Belsunge Apartments (Anne-Valérie Gasc), Various shaped Hoses and snake (Takashi Homma). Also includes a take on Royal Roadtest in which the typewriter in Ruscha’s original is replaced by an I Mac (T. Homma, Y. Tanaka, Y. Nakajima). Full list upon request. (total 20)
