[Amsterdam. Tramways] Small archive on tram driver Gerrit Groenevelt (b. 1880)

Archive containing 26 official documents, printed and filled-out in pen or typescript, dated 1908-1952.

Includes original employment contracts 1908-1909, his honourable discharge in 1914, pension etc. Groenevelt was discharged as tram driver after having accidentally run into a boy on 1 April 1911, after which he developed nervous disorders and problems with one of his legs. These health problems were the reason he caused new accidents and was declared unfit for the job. An official typescript document in the name of queen Wilhelmina (1915) summarizes the events and closes with granting a pension of 573 guilders per year. Also in the archive are employment contracts in which Groenevelt is appointed "Schrijver ter Provinciale Griffie" (Noord-Holland), first temporarily (1922), later in permanent service (1926), an employment contract in which he is appointed "Klerk in vasten dienst ter Provinciale Griffie van Noordholland" (1932), documents on his salary (1933-1945) and his final pension in 1952. (total 26)
