Two leaves from 15th century Books of Hours
(1) Manuscript vellum leaf, 12.8 x 8.3 cm. Haarlem, ca. 1470. Dutch text derived from the Book of Hours of Geert Grote van de Broeders des Gemenen Levens, w. very fine col. penwork and initial in left margin verso.
(2) A similar leaf, 11.8 x 7.8 cm, ca. 1450. Latin text w. col. initials heightened w. gold. Added: 2 medieval woodcuts and an engr. vellum holy picture richly col. in gouache and heightened w. gold (by Charles Neel, dated 1649). (total 5)
