Vol. 2, part 3 without plate as indicated at the end. Some lvs. loose, final part waterst. Spines and frontwr./ backwr. of the first/ final part browned; a few wrs. torn at spine. Vol. 1, part 4 w. "Naamlijst der Inteekenaren" listing 139 names, including J.C. Honigh ("Boekhandelaar te Schagerbrug"). Good, untrimmed run as published in loose parts of this rare periodical for teenagers/ students. Only 1 more vol. was published. Very interesting plates, showing a.o. building instructions for magic lantern plates, a phenakistoscope, an anamorphosis and "het studentenlampje". Lust en Leering p.225ff: "De redactie zette voor de jonge lezers de vensters wereldwijd open zonder enige vooringenomenheid op godsdienstig gebied. Zelfs de actuele 'technologie' (het woord staat er!) kwam aan de orde. En het hoefde met dit tijdschrift niet bij dit lezen te blijven.
