Very rare (prize?) binding of the The Hague section of the Fundatie van Renswoude, a foundation established in 1754, originally with the purpose of financially supporting young promising orphans. It still exists under the name of Stichting de Fundatie van de Vrijvrouwe van Renswoude te ’s-Gravenhage, and still provides study allowances to young students. Although this particular copy does not contain a prize, it is typically the type of book that would be presented to a talented schoolboy- or girl. On: J. Lulofs.
