(1) "Nieuw letter-spel voor kleine kinderen / Nouveau jeu d'alphabet pour les enfants". (Turnhout, Philippus Jacobus Brepolsprentmaker, ca. 1800-50). Handcol. woodcut engr. 42 x 33.5 cm. Sheet w. 25 letters ill. w. animals named in both Dutch and French. No. 62 top right. (2) "Ziet knaapje, ten geschenk een nieuwe fraaije prent, / En zorgt dat ge weldra hiervan de letters kent". ('s-Hertogenbosch, Lutkie & Cranenburg, ca. 1848-81). Handcol. woodcut engr. 40.5 x 30.5 cm. Sheet w. the first 12 letters of the alphabet (A-M), each ill. w. an animal or figure beginning w. that letter, 2 line verse captions each image. No. 51 top center.

(2) "O lieve Kinderen! ziet de Dieren op deez' print / Kent hunnen naam en aart, als gij hen levend vindt". (Rott., T.C. Hoffers, ca. 1820-38). Handcol. woodcut engr. by J.C.
