Günter Brus, Zereisprobe (Breaking Test), 1970

It shows a registration of the performance at Aktionsraum A1 Munich, camerawork by Werner Schulz and Otto Mühl. This video was included in the 1976 exhibition 'Wiener Aktionisten' at De Appel Amsterdam curated by Wies Smals.

Zereisprobe (Breaking Test) was the final action in Brus' series of extreme self-mutilations, in which he cuts himself with a razor blade and beat himself to exhaustion in front of the public. The original tape will be accompanied by a digitalized version.
