Note in pencil on endpaper. Title w. sm. dam. r.h. corner outside of the image. Faded gilt edges. Probably first Dutch ed. Several early 18th. cent. ed. are known. A rare work in which the characters appear in the elaborate dress and hairstyles of early Baroque Europe and show the trades and scenes of daily life of that period w. humorous captions.
