[Humour] 50 miscellaneous letters and documents

Mostly Dutch, ca. 1699-1950, var. sizes. Varied collection, comprising a.o.: (1) Statement in pen, sheet size 21 x 16 cm, signed "Joh. Brauniús S.S. Doctor &", dated "Groningen den 24 Meij 1688", concerning the question "of 't verboden is te trouwen met zijn afgestorvene huijsvrouwen zuster dogter". (2) "Charade". Riddle in pen, sheet size 16 x 20 cm, signed B.J. Roering, dated 1836, giving 3 hints to produce a three-syllable word, the answer being "een oorlogschip". (3) "Inleiding tot de Hollandsche Regtsgeleerdheid door Hugo de Groot. Van 't huwelijk." Manuscript copy in pen, (32) p., late 19th cent., threadbound quires, obl. 4to. (4) "Letterkrans gevlogten om het hoofd van 's lands verrader R.M.V.G." Manuscript 6-line poem in the shape of a conversation on Rijklof Michaël van Goens, sheet size 23 x 18.5 cm, ca 1784. (5) "Hoe iemand zijn eigen grootvader worden kan". Manuscript in pen, sheet size 13.5 x 20 cm, first half 19th cent. Interesting reasoning: "Ik ben met eene weduwe getrouwd, die uit haar eerste huwelijk een volwassen dochter had, op wie mijn vader verliefd raakteen met wie hij trouwde. Dus werd mijn vader mijn schoonzoon; en mijn schoondochter mijn moeder. (...)." (6) "Eiffel doleeren". Manuscript acrostic on the world exhibition in Paris, 1889, sheet size 11 x 7 cm. Fully reading: "Exposition Internationale Française Fraternité Egalité Liberté, Door Onverstand Loopen Ezels En Raddraaiers Elkander Na." -and approx. 44 miscell. others, incl. a few items on the Hollandsche Ijzeren Spoorweg-Maatschappij and a satirical poem using the words "Mof" and "Moffenland".
