Business cards, collection of 130

1845-52. The collection divided in a chapter "Stuttgart 1845-1846" (45 cards) and "Madrid 1846-1852", mounted in contemp. (worn) gilt cloth album w. label "Algemeene Boekhandel C. Avis Jzn Zeist" on inside front cover, folio. The album also contains 14 unused heavy grey paper lvs. All but a few cards printed in the so-called "porcelain-card" technique ("porseleinkaartjes"). Some names, Stuttgart: General, Comte de Beraldingen, Vte de Fontenay, Baron de Malzen, Lieutenant Général de Thun, Prince Gotchacoff, De Stoffregen, Kriegsminister Generallieutenant Graf von Sontheim, Comte Ferdinand de Zeppelin, Ministre de Finance De Gaerttner, Comte Alexis Moussin Pouschkin and Duc Bernard de Saxe-Weimar.
