Rottermondt, Pieter (1639-1706). Esau selling his birthright to Jacob

Etching after Rembrandt, 27.5 x 20.3 cm, signed "Rembrandt f." in the plate. On fine laid paper w. watermark grapes. Remnants of former mounting at all corners verso, otherwise very fine.

Esau is shown dressed as a hunter, selling his first-birthright to Jacob for a bowl of lentils.
