Sl. offsetting from turn-ins, covers waterst. and a bit worn along extremities. Good copy, w. 19th cent. engr. armorial bookplate of the Grille family (Arles) w. device "Nitimur in vetitum" (we strive for the forbidden), and bookplate "Floralies Lille 1952" on upper pastedown. Oberlé, Fastes, 621: "C'est la première monographie francaise du pêcher avec toutes les informations nécessaires à sa culture". Detailed handbook on the cultivation of peaches, first published in 1745. An English translation appeared in 1768.
