Very rare only edition of this critique on Dutch fortification, one of three known different issues, differing only in their dedications: to the magistrates of Breslau, Danzig, or (as in our copy) Frankfurt am Main. Neubauer considered the Dutch fortifications (esp. those of Hendrick Ruse) as too costly and time-consuming. In this work, the author presents a more practical alternative.
