*Kladderadatsch was founded by Albert Hofmann and David Kalisch. Originally, it was a liberal magazine, but grew more conservative over the years. In its first years, it supported the Bismarck's policies and during the Weimar era it took a clear German-nationalist stance. After the 1923 takeover by the industrialist Hugo Stinnes, the magazine's contents became increasingly right-wing and showed sympathy with Nazism. (total 23)
