First blank w. owner's entry "H. Wiegersma Jr. Medicus. Pictor". This is the artist Hendrik Josephus Maria Wiegersma (1891-1969), see Hoogbergen/ Thelen, Hendrik Wiegersma (1891-1969). Medicus. Pictor (1997). Also w. old manuscript annotation on a strip of paper mounted at the top of the same page: "Johannes van Beverwijck in den raat van Dordrecht doctor (...)".

Very - if not extremely - rare second edition w. Dordrecht imprint, published simultaneously w. the Edition Amst., J. Hartgers, w. the same pagination. The first edition was published in Leeuwarden, 1628, a third edition appeared in 1656.
