Die Situationisten. Alternativ Documenta

Kassel, June 30 to September 6, 1972. Silkscreened cardboard folder, 35 x 25 cm, illustrated by Tom Krojer. Contains loose documents by members of the Bauhaus Situationists who protested against the established and commercial content of Documenta 5. Sets are scarce, a complete set seems to hold 7 or 8 sheets. This copy contains 5 sheets.

(1) Pink sheet, 60 x 43 cm, printed both sides, folded once, titled 'Alternative Documenta. Bauhaus Situationiste. Drakabygget. Section Scandinave de l’Internationale Situationniste II'. Text by Elisabet Haglund and Kristina Garmer featuring manifestos of the three situationist groups. (3) Jörgen Nash. Thick paper sheet printed b/w and yellow, 21 x 29.7 cm. With a biography of Jörgen Nash and a reproduction of his Documenta accreditation card. Texts by Hildegard and Oscar Reutersvärd. (4) Hardy Strid. Glossy sheet measuring 21 x 29.7 cm, colour image of a performance 'Discord gives strength' on recto and biography on verso. (5) Lis Zwick. Sheet measuring 21 x 29.7 cm, with silkscreened illustration on recto and biography on verso. (6) Tom Krojer. One sheet, 21 x 29.7 cm, silkscreen printed both sides on heavy paper. Cardboard folder with age wear, tears along spine and small chipped off corner. Interior sheets in crisp condition.
