Metal screw taler with handcol. engravings in honour of Napoleon I. Johann Thomas Stettner, Nuremberg, ca. 1808. Decorated on two sides: (1) Minerva relief and text 'La Valeur et la Victoire'. (2) Napoleon on horseback with text 'Napoleon I Empereur de Franc et Roi d'Italie'. Including 15 of 18 hand-coloured engravings of Napoleon's battles (three lacking), starting at Lodi, May 10, 1796 and ending at Danzig, May 20, 1807. Two copper engr. inscriptions on the inside of the lid. Original ribbon. Diam. 5 cm. One of the engravings in the string has become detached. No loss of paper.
