Paris, René Godfroy, 30 (of 32) stencil. col. lithogr. plates, approx. 32.5 x 49.5 cm, all signed "Lavrate" on the stone, all mounted on board. Lacks no. 3 and 32. A few prints dam. in blank corners (one affecting the address), occas. wrinkling, soiling and minor other defects incl. some prints loosened from their mounts. Backs of the mounting boards with wear and damage to paper covering, incl. waterst. and edge wear. The images themselves in good condition.

Very nice anticlerical caricatures, even individual prints from the series are scarce (only one recorded in OCLC). Near complete series like this are exceptionally rare. Sold as a series of prints, not subject to return. (total 30)
