Daumier, Honoré (1808-1879). Series of 21 caricatures

All obl. 4to size, lithographed by Nicolas Louis Delaunois after Daumier and w. address of Bureau Galerie Vero Dodat in lower left corner, from Le Charivari (w. letterpress text verso), ca. 1835. All mounted under passepartout. A bit foxed, margins trimmed. Nice series of these famous caricatures directed against king Louis Philippe. The king 's head was caricatured as a pear by Charles Philipon in 1831. In our series the pear motif appears in several prints. Also incl.: 3 duplicates and 18 related caricatures from Le Charivari (12x) and Album Charivarique (6x).
