[Cabaret] Neerlands Hoop. Extensive archive with important material rel. to theatre and TV work

Comprehensive archive documenting the creative output of Freek de Jong en Bram Vermeulen as Neerlands Hoop, covering their their early years (1964 - 1966) through their rise to national fame in the 1970s. Includes: (1) 18 manuscript and typescript items from 1964-1977, incl. early lyrics and sketches by Freek de Jonge (Goes 1964 -1966) and scripts for radio and TV shows such as Veronica (June 1967), Studentenhaver (TV debut, Oct. 1968), Mies en Scene (Nov. 1968, "Niet doorgegaan") and NOS Opleidingen Centrum (Nov. 1969, dir. Paul Boots). Also includes the typescript for Neerlands Hoop in Panama, their second theatre show. Many with annotations by Vermeulen en De Jonge. (2) Signed contract for EMI Bovema, with accompanying typescript (1975). (3) 55 mostly original vintage photographs, incl. work by Willem Diepraam, Steye Raviez, Marc Mildner, ANP and others. (4) Gelatine silver by Paul de Nooijer, signed and dated lower margin. 40 x 30 cm. Used for the cover LP Heimwee naar Holland (included). (5) 18 original dia slides by Diepraam (1968-69). (6) 3 theatre posters from the 1970s. (7) Cassette tape of the performance 'Bram en Freek in Bellevue, feb. 1974'. (8) Approx. 20 booklets, clippings and promotional material.

A remarkable archive on what is arguebly the most influential cabaret duo in Dutch history. Rich in photographs, texts and rare documents that trace their formative years and breaktrough period. Provenance note: Archive of Frith Oppenoorth, an early collector and documentarian of Dutch cabaret. (total approx. 100)
