Engraving, ca. 25 x 17 cm, from the series of The Nine Muses, monogrammed "HG fecit", numb. 4, and w. 4-line Latin verse below the image in the plate, mounted at upper corners under passe-partout. Very good impression on paper w. watermark in the shape of a city gate, w. thread margins. Smoothed-out folds and creases. Hollstein, 158, 2nd state (of 5). -Together with one other by Jacob Matham after Goltzius, dep. Hope (Spes), the 2nd engraving from the series Cardinal Virtues (a bit creased and partly browned/ soiled)
